This policy explains how AI Focus, operated by MARLINK TRADING SRL, uses cookies and similar technologies on aifocus.ro.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored on a device. Similar technologies include local storage and identifiers used to remember settings, maintain a secure session, or measure use of a service.
2. Categories
Necessary
Necessary technologies support security, authentication, forms, language and consent preferences. They are used where required to provide a feature you request.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site use and improve pages.
Google Analytics runs only with your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)). Until you accept analytics, the Google Analytics tag does not load, sets and reads no cookies, and sends no information to Google. Once you accept, the tag loads and sets the analytics cookies. They send Google data about the pages you visit, which technically include your IP address and browser information.
You can withdraw your consent at any time through in the site footer. After you withdraw, the tag sends no more data to Google and the existing analytics cookies are deleted. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it.
Google Analytics does not load on the certificate and seat verification pages, so the verification link is never sent to Google.
User-level and event-level analytics data are kept in Google Analytics for 14 months, as set in our property.
Marketing
We use Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, to measure whether our ads on Facebook and Instagram bring visits, sign-ups and orders to the site, and to be able to reach people who visited the site through ads.
Meta Pixel runs only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 4(5) of Law no. 506/2004). Until you accept the Marketing category, the Meta script does not load, sets and reads no cookies, and sends nothing to Meta. Once you accept, the script loads and sets the _fbp cookie. When you reach the site from a Meta ad, the _fbc cookie may also be set. Meta then receives data about the pages you visit and your actions on the site (viewing a course or event, pressing "Enroll", a paid order with its value, currency and a conversion code from which the order cannot be identified, sending the contact form), together with the page address, IP address and browser information.
Also once you accept the Marketing category, Meta Pixel may collect the contact data you enter in the site's forms (email address, phone number, first and last name, city or county, and country). We send no external identifier (External ID); if Meta derives one from this data, it does so under its own rules. This data is turned into a cryptographic value (hash, the SHA-256 algorithm documented by Meta) before it is sent to Meta, which uses it to measure ads and to match site visits with Meta accounts. We do not send Meta the content of your messages, passwords or card data.
For collecting this data on the site and transmitting it to Meta, we and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited are joint controllers. Details are in the Privacy policy.
Meta Pixel sends nothing from the certificate and seat verification pages or from the password reset page.

YouTube videos
The home page background is a muted video played in a loop from YouTube, a service provided by Google. When the home page opens, your browser loads the YouTube player from youtube.com and youtube-nocookie.com. YouTube then receives data from your browser, such as your IP address, and may store or read information on your device, through cookies or local storage. The other videos on the site, such as the free lesson, are shown as an image hosted by us with a "Play video" button: that video's player loads only when you press the button or a point in its contents. Google processes this data under its own rules.
On an online meeting page, pressing the play button loads the stream's player, with the same effects; nothing is loaded from YouTube before that press. The meeting chat is our own and loads nothing from YouTube.
You can also use the "Open on YouTube" link, which opens the video directly on youtube.com.
3. Your choices
You can accept or reject non-essential categories and later change that choice through in the site footer. Browser controls can also block or delete cookies, although doing so may affect requested features.
Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage on this device. On another device or browser you will be asked again.

Card payment takes place on the page hosted by Stripe (checkout.stripe.com). The cookies Stripe uses there are set by Stripe and described in Stripe's policy; they are not set on aifocus.ro.
